On the Wikipedia page for “Free Verse”, it says, “It does not use consistent meter patterns, rhyme, or any musical pattern. It thus tends to follow the rhythm of natural speech.”
If I ever meet the person who cast that last sentence in anapestic pentameter, I will buy them a beer. #poetry
